Hotel staff is excellent.
No Air Conditioning, far from center, difficult to reach Helios Hotel Pension even with GPS, nothing around, nothing to do, the TV very small, channels only in Hungarian and German... In conclusion, a quite location for retirement...

The location here is lovely, very close to the city center with the convenience of a bus stop nearby and shops like a small store and supermarket within easy reach.

The reason I chose Helios, is the location, it was outside the city in the Buda Hills a lovely location, and with access to regular transport to get into the city when I wanted too - bus runs about every 10/12 minutes. It has a beautiful garden and I could sit and read if I didn't want to go sightseeing. The staff all speak English and were extremely helpful in organising bus tickets and providing information about how to get to places. For example I bought a 72 hour transport card (buses, trains, trams) and went to Memento Park only on the public buses. They made my visit so easy. There were many good recommendations by other travellers to stay at this Pension - I concur its a great place to stay.
I have no complaints but an observation which I shared with the hotelier, which is the rooms can be booked with credit card but the 'extras' like bus tickets or mini bar has to be paid in cash. I found this a little frustrating in that it is just easier to pay all with a card, but not a big deal really.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large comfortable room. Just five minutes walk to the bus that took us into the city centre.
No elevator and three floors of steps. No air conditioning, but it did get cool at night anyway.

Very quiet and pleasant location in a green area of Budapest. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and internet connection. Full tourism services including bus tickets or travel cards, city maps etc.
A little bit far from the city center, but decent trip of 15-20 minutes by bus.

The location is perfect and very pretty in a QUIET area, just next door to one bus line, the surrounding garden and the city center-night transport. Furthermore, it is 3 km from the touristic places like Budapest District Xii.

Excellent Value - very helpful staff - good breakfast - very clean and comfortable
A little out of town, I didnt mind that but this hotel is not good for disabled or very old people without a car. 10 mins by one bus to town center - cost £1 or $1.50 each way.

The room was a nice size and silent. I ate at a simple restaurant for a very convenient and enjoyable choice. - the location was peaceful: the main shopping center and a small store were within walking distance. - This hotel was set in a very pleasant area.

Its Nice Hotel to Stay. Value for Money.Commutation is too good. The moment you go out of the hotel and walk for 100meters you can find a bus stop number 8. Frequency also good in working days. You dont feel the hotel is far to the city. I suggest to stay in this hotel.

Perfect Hotel, very close to the city with the transport. Very friendly personal. More than better for young people making a city tour.
